#Mathematic & Architecture
The Girih Tiles that are used by Islamic architects are mathematically similar to Penrose Tiling. Sir Roger Penrose is the mathematician who experimented with five differently shaped tiles in the 1970s in order to create patterns with special geometric properties. So, Penrose tiling got named after him.
